The Framework for
Facilitated Personalized Instruction
We are building a new national instructional framework—co-developed with educators, grounded in research, and designed for the realities of modern classrooms. This is more than a tool. It’s a movement to rethink what it means to teach in an era shaped by technology, AI, and student-centered learning.
At the heart of this work is a belief in participatory design—the idea that systems are strongest when they are shaped by the people who use them. That’s why this framework is being developed with educators, not just for them. We are actively working with teachers, school leaders, researchers, and district partners across the country to define a bold, expanded vision of teaching—one that recognizes the educator as a high-impact facilitator of deep, engaged, and empowered learning.
The framework is organized into four core domains—each reflecting essential aspects of modern instruction. On this page, you’ll find an overview of each domain along with short videos that bring them to life. But this is a living framework, and the work is still in progress. We’re using digital tools to gather educator feedback, elevate diverse perspectives, and ensure this is a truly collaborative, evolving model.
